YouTube: Targeting The Watcher’s Search Engine

YouTube: Targeting The Watcher’s Search Engine

The earths’ population exceeded 7 billion in 2012. Over 2 billion people are
connected to the Internet. Recently, Facebook acquired its 900 millionth
user.

Your outreach, as an Internet marketer and online business owner, is HUGE.
With such an enormous segment of the population connected online, comes
many new ways of reaching out and connecting with your target audience.<img src="YouTube-targeting.jpg" alt="YouTube Search" />

But one of the easiest ways to REALLY engage potential customers is by
creating interactive ad campaigns.

We’re talking “video marketing”.

Of all the video based community sites, the leader is indisputably
YouTube.com. In fact, it’s rated as the 3rd most viewed website in the world,
ranking just after Google and Facebook.

With over 800 million unique visitors to YouTube.com every month, your
audience is unlimited.

The key is to create a video that attracts the masses!

This begins with identifying your audience and knowing your market. You
simply can’t create a compelling video unless you know WHO is watching it.
You need to get inside the minds of your average customer, so that you can
push their hot buttons and touch down on what’s most important to them.
Knowing your demographic gives you the tools you need to gear your
business towards what they want, and will respond to. This means incredibly
high conversion rates = skyrocketed income!

In order to figure out what kind of video will likely yield the best response,
you’ll need to analyze your market, eavesdrop within social media platforms
like Twitter and Facebook paying close attention to active (repeat)
conversations, questions and comments.

You will also want to drop by popular forums in your market, browsing active
threads where you can take part in open discussion. You will also want to
scout out existing videos with a high number of responses and views in order
to see what existing formats are working well within your market.

Market research is an incredibly important part of the process, and the better
you know your audience, the better your chances of creating a compelling
video that will go the distance.<img src="youtubesearchengine.jpg" alt="YouTube Search Engine" />

Here are a few tips when creating a successful video campaign:

Get People Talking!

Viral YouTube videos all have one thing in common: They are unique, they provoke
thought and encourage conversation. Videos go viral when they are shared
between friends, who continue to pass it on to others. Don’t be afraid to
stand out from the crowd, in fact, you NEED to stand out!

Label & Tag Your YouTube Videos

Make sure that you assign keywords and tags to your videos to help people find them. If you aren’t sure what keywords are being hit the most, scout out competing videos for a quick overview of what is working.

Create Video Responses

If you want to create a quick YouTube video that will get a lot of attention, look for the
top videos in your market and create a video-based response! Make sure
your message is relevant to the original video and conveys a positive
message.

Interesting Facts:

YouTube had more than 1 trillion views in 2011.
Over 500 hours of YouTube videos are shared on Twitter every minute.
There are over 3 billion hours of video uploaded to YouTube every
month.
60 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube.com every minute of the
day.
YouTube Mobile receives over 600 million views a day.
Partner revenue has more than doubled in 2011.
Over 100 million people take a social action on YouTube (like, comment,
rate, etc) every single week.
YouTube is localized in 39 countries in over 50 languages.

There is no better way to penetrate your market and get people excited about
your offer than with YouTube video marketing campaigns. Not only can you exploit the
power of video marketing to propel your viewers into taking action, but you
can quickly establish a defined brand of your own.

A recent study found that YouTube currently accounts for more than 25% of all searches on Google!

Additionally, more searches are performed through YouTube.com than
through Yahoo! And according to eMarketer.com, over 50% of all traffic
comes from video marketing channels!

Video also has the power to covert extremely well, because you’re able to
really motivate people and get them to take action in a whole different way
than with traditional marketing formats.

Studies have shown that video sites have the power to convert as high as
30%! That’s phenomenal when you consider that standard websites typically
convert at only 2-3%.

Why is video such a powerful source of quality traffic?

It’s simple! Videos add life to our marketing campaigns. You’re able to
connect with your audience and deliver a memorable, and interactive
experience that simply isn’t possible with any other form of marketing.

Videos transform static, traditional marketing campaigns into action-driven
presentations that unleash our message in a powerful, dramatic way, while
tugging at emotions and working towards establishing a powerful connection
with our audience.

There are many ways to create compelling YouTube video presentations. You can
outsource your video creation and editing for as low as about $25 per 30-
second video to freelancers, or create simple video presentations yourself
using PowerPoint slideshows, or even article content!

Also keep in mind that you might not even have to purchase any extra
software either, since the majority of new computers come bundled with
video production software.

If you really want to ramp up the quality of your videos later on, you’ll want to
consider purchasing an industry grade program, such as Camtasia or
CamStudio.

These programs will help to add functionality to your YouTube videos, while making it
easy for you to integrate sound (audio narratives, music, etc), as well as
highlight important notes, and of course, they provide you with added
flexibility with editing video content.

Traffic Without Penalty

Traffic Without Penalty

One of the worst things that you can do for your business is follow outdated strategies, handed out by some so-called “guru”.

I know it’s difficult to know who is guiding you along the right path and who is outright misleading you, but there’s more at risk than just wasted time or money.

If you follow black hat strategies, or you take part in outdated techniques that are no longer considered “acceptable” by the major search engines, you risk not only losing any existing ranking that you have, but you stand to risk any FUTURE ranking that you stand to gain.Local SEO Services

When Google made changes to the way that they rank websites (known as the Panda update), thousands of webmasters noticed an instant drop in rankings – ultimately, a major drop in income.

Many of these people were simply following the strategies taught by SEO “authorities”, not doing anything intentionally wrong, yet they suffered a major loss.

A year later, Google released yet another update – this time called the “Penguin” update, and again webmasters who were following outdated strategies in an attempt to boost SEO rankings felt the impact, as their websites were penalized, resulting in lost rankings or entirely disappearing from search results.

Not everyone knew that what they were doing to optimize their websites was against SEO “code”. No one could predict with certainty that what they were doing would cost them in the end, yet it did.

But the thing is, if you really want to build rock solid Indestructible traffic campaigns for your website, you need to move outside of the search engines.

Sure, SEO traffic is valuable but if you want to build high performance traffic campaigns that won’t lose momentum just because a company decides to make a change overnight, then you need to broaden your outlook and focus on tapping into some of the fastest-growing social community sites online.

Not only are they incredibly easy to navigate and use, but you’ll be able to maximize your brand value by connecting with authority figures in your market, keeping a pulse on your industry and communicating with your customer base.<img src="localseoservicesseattle.jpg" alt="Seattle SEO Services" />

So, where should you begin?  What is the #1 social media site online and how can you begin to funnel quality traffic to your site?

There are many options available to you, and if you really want to maximize exposure and sales, you’ll want to include most of them into your marketing campaigns – but to begin, let’s tackle the giant of all social media websites.

You know the one I’m talking about – Facebook!

Evolution of Social traffic

The Evolution of Social Traffic

Do you know what I absolutely love about online business?

Being able to create my own products, develop my own line of services and
experiment both creatively and with different ways of generating an income
online.

There are few opportunities that are more enjoyable, and that will
keep you on your toes than by creating your own online business from the
ground floor up and watching as it expands and grows.

…And there are few “jobs” that are quite as fulfilling!

But if you’re anything like me, after the product has been created, you
struggle with the “what’s next?” part of the selling process. You might be
good at creating your own products and you may have a ton of ideas that you
believe would do well within your market, but when it comes time to actually
launch your offers, you find yourself stuck, confused and frozen in place.
Generating traffic to your offers, websites, blogs and wherever else you need customer eyeballs, isn’t always easy especially if you don’t have an existing list, brand or name in the business.evolution of social media

Worse, there are so many different ways to generate traffic yet very few offer any sort of guarantee that they will produce results – making it even harder to know where your time should go.
Of all the different ways to siphon traffic to your website and offers, there has been one surefire technique that’s out-performed, out-played and out-lasted nearly every other strategy and it’s also one of the easiest ways to blast targeted traffic onto your website without spending any money on paid
advertising.

Do you know where this unbeatable source of FREE traffic is hidden? Within popular “social search engines”!

Think about it: Nearly everyone you know is on Facebook. These people log
into their Facebook accounts nearly every day, exploring their newsfeed,
reading posts, comments and activity from those on their contact lists.
The same thing goes for Twitter. There are literally thousands of people
logging into their Twitter accounts every day, anxious to keep up to date on
industry news, trends, activity, updates, launches and offers from the
companies and businesses they know, and trust.

We refer to these sites as “social search engines”.

The pattern is repeated on virtually every other social media community site
you can think of. Linkedin, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr – and the list goes on. What about the shopper’s search engine? Or the very popular professional’s search engine? And don’t forget the women’s search engine or the ‘watcher’s’ search engine.

Are you targeting ANY of these traffic powerhouses?

Most likely you’re not…because you’ve been focused only on the major
search engines like Google and Bing. The same search engines that can literally destroy your business overnight if they decide to change a search query, ranking metric or other algorithm.
So, since we know how popular these social media sites are – the only
question that should be on your mind is: How can you SIPHON these active
visitors to your website?Local SEO Services
That’s what Social Evolution is all about. I’m going to teach you the most effective, cutting edge – PROVEN strategies to generating unlimited traffic from popular social media sites.
I’m also going to teach you the insider strategies to making sure that your
traffic is qualified – which will increase conversion rates immediately,
ensuring maximum profits from every campaign you run.

Credibility on the Internet

Credibility on the Internet

As we have been discussing over the last few lessons, if you want to
increase your online credibility, there are many ways you can go about it.
In fact you can start small and build your credibility over time by using a
few simple and easy to implement techniques.<img src="credibilityontheinternet.jpg" alt="Online Credibility" />

For instance you can:

- Write Articles

Writing articles for article marketing sites, newspapers, and other venues will help to establish your credibility by demonstrating your knowledge. If other people are willing to print your information outside of your own websites and blogs then you must know what you’re talking about.

- Blogging

Establish your expertise by blogging about what you know. Giving your
readers free information can never go wrong in helping to increase your
online business credibility. Each blog should be micro focused on very
small aspects of the information that you have to share, which can wet
your visitor’s appetite for more information.

- Publish a newsletter

Having an established newsletter can is a great way to increase your
online credibility if you do it right. TIP: Don’t have a sign up for a
newsletter then never send out a newsletter. Ideally you should have a few
preloaded newsletters in your auto-responder before you start asking for
sign-ups to your e-zine then you can be ahead of the game providing
informative and useful newsletters to all your subscribers.

- Publish an eBook

Creating and publishing an eBook isn’t very difficult today. All you need to do is re-purpose the rest of your content into one book. You can make a
compilation of a year’s worth of blog posts, rearrange the order, add a
few bullets, some great formatting, pictures, and turn it into a PDF or even
make it into a PUB file and sell it on Kindle.

- Create Tutorials on SEO or Promote your site

If you have knowledge that you want to share with others a great way to
do this is to create short informative and useful tutorials or course (like this one). You can use screen capturing software, or film what you’re
doing with a flip cam, video camera, or webcam then post on your blog,
on YouTube and in other places so that as many people as possible from
your target market can view it.

- Do Interviews

There are a lot of Internet radio stations today as well as other people out
there who need content for their websites and blogs. If you can find
people who run complementary businesses to yours, and are not your
direct competition you can agree to interview each other via video,
podcast, or even just print and cross post on each others blogs.

- Participate in Credibility forums

If you’re involved with social media, forums, and groups online or off the only way you can truly get something out of it is to participate.
Participating will establish your credibility in many ways. If you volunteer for an organization that you enjoy being involved in, you can establish good relationships with people who may refer you to others who are ready to pay for your products and / or services.

- Pictures

We have discussed this one before. Be sure to post a good head shot of
yourself on all your social media, websites and blogs. Let people know
who you are and don’t hide yourself. People want to see your face and
your eyes so they can see you for themselves and whether or not they
should trust you.<img src="onlinecredibility.jpg" alt="Credibility on the Internet" />

The important thing to remember is that building online credibility is a
continuous process that needs to be attended to on a regular basis, not
just a task that has to be performed once and never again.

As we close this final lesson I would like to thank you again for joining
me and I sincerely hope that you have learned a lot about how to build
your online credibility!

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. I will still be glad
to help.

SEO Basics

SEO Basics

Monitoring the ranking of the site should be a priority to ensure the current efforts put into the content and choice of keywords to encourage the relevant clicks is the best for the site.<img src="seo-keywords.jpg" alt="SEO Keywords" />

Using complimenting platforms such as Marketing Vox will allow the individual to keep track of the page ranking with tools like Alexa and the Google tool bar. All these will keep a regular check on the ranking and provide the feed necessary to facilitate a re-thinking exercise should there be a need to implement it.

Keywords are like the magnet or the eyes that are going to get the attraction of the SEO thus creating favorable ranking possibilities.

The use of the most appropriate keywords will eventually make or break the success of the site’s ranking rate and this is the most important contributing factor from the viewing visitor’s perspective. Inserting the keywords into recognizable spots like the title tag and the page header will help too.<img src="seo-basics.jpg" alt="SEO Basics" />

SEO ranking also takes into account the links the site manages to create. The integration of internal links is an easy way to boost traffic to the individual site or page thus creating a recognition element that is important.

Knowing your SEO basics will give you a great advantage. It’s easy to read all of the fancy sales pages that proclaim that they are making millions of dollars every month, but often they are found to be less than stellar, if not an outright scam.

Please use your judgement when using SEO strategies.

It all starts with your website.

There are free services such as WordPress and Blogger that are very popular and actually carry a lot of weight. I have seen some Blogger pages ranked above full fledged domains because they know how to utilize the power of these free sites.

The real way to use them is to have your own domain, preferably after doing some intensive keyword research, and create pages on WordPress or Blogger with links to your main site, or “Money Site”.

Start with making sure that all of the on and off page SEO factors for your domain are taken care of before worrying about multi-tiered back-linking and more advanced SEO strategies.

Online Credibility Matters

 Online Credibility Matters

Let’s talk about how to use testimonials to

increase the credibility of your online business.

Fact: Testimonials are a great way to increase online credibility for yourself and your business.<img src="local_seo_services.jpg" alt="Local SEO Services" />

Now, you may be wondering how you can get testimonials especially if

you’re just starting your online business, but it’s not as hard as you may

think with a little bit outside the box. Just keep in mind that all testimonials

don’t have to come from people who have paid for your product or

service. In fact it is not uncommon for a someone who just started their

online business to ask others within their market to trade free products

and services in exchange  for honest reviews and testimonials.

In order to properly display and use the testimonials you receive from

unbiased consumers it is important to create a testimonial area on your

website or blog that allows people to post their comments quickly and

easily.

Contact people directly. Send them a personal note that says something like:

“I really enjoyed working with you on our last project. You were great to

work with and the project we worked on was very successful. I am

working on a new project now and I’d really love it if you would give me a

testimonial I can use on my website. You can click this link here (insert

link) and fill it out online, then when I receive it, it will go live on my site. I

will be glad to return the favor. Thank you for your time!”

Linkedin.com is another great way to collect testimonials.

If you don’t have a LinkedIn profile yet, get a free account immediately. Then fill out your profile completely, including a good head shot, information about yourself and your business. Once you have your LinkedIn profile set up you can you ask colleagues, clients, managers, and employees to endorse your work using the recommendations feature, which is built into the system and is extremely easy to use.

Don’t be afraid to ask for recommendations and testimonials. Many

people will not think about it otherwise. They may have loved your product

and service very much but it might never occur to them to give you a

testimonial if you don’t ask. The worse thing they can do is say no, or

ignore your request. But, most of the time they’ll give you a nice

recommendation or testimonial you can be proud to share.<img src="local-seo-services-seattle.jpg" alt="Local SEO Services" />

It’s a good idea to make it a habit to ask for a testimonial and a

recommendation at the end of every sale as well. For instance, if you’ve

created an information product and you want testimonials for that, send

your buyers a survey along with a request for their comments,

suggestions and a review of the product.

Here are a few example questions:

- Are you happy with your purchase?

- Did your transaction go smoothly?

- Why did you decide to purchase this product?

- What did you learn from the product?

- Did you receive the results you desired from your purchase?

- Is there anything you would do to change or improve the product

- Would you be interested in similar products?

Be sure to end your survey with a specific space where they can provide their

comments, suggestions and testimonials. It is also a good idea to

include a little enticement along with your request. You could offer a

discount on their next purchase or a free gift.

Even better, if you have an affiliate or referral program you can tell them

about it when you ask for the testimonial because the chance to earn a

commission for the people they refer to you will be an added incentive for

them to post their review of your product or service on their own website,

blog or other media and social outlets.

Once you’ve collected testimonials you can use them across any of your

marketing channels, not just on your website or on LinkedIn.com. You can

use them on your sales pages, blogs, social networks, in brochures,

newsletters and more. You could even put them into a slide show, convert

them to video then share on YouTube, Slideshare or other video

sharing sites.

Bottom line is once you have collected them use your testimonials in any

and every way that you can. It may feel strange at first, like bragging, but

in business, if you don’t toot your own horn sometimes, you will miss out

on a lot of business.

Using StumbleUpon for Instant Viral Traffic

Using StumbleUpon for Instant Viral Traffic

StumbleUpon is one of the most powerful websites you could utilize for getting viral traffic to your content.

StumbleUpon can send tens of thousands of visitors to your site in a few hours, but it can also become a consistent source of traffic over time.

Because of the nature of StumbleUpon, content which people like has a very good chance of being seen by even more people.<img src="local-seo.jpg" alt="Local SEO Services" />

Here’s how to use StumbleUpon for instant viral traffic.

==> Understanding the Mindset

Before designing a campaign for StumbleUpon, it’s crucial that you understand the mindset of Stumblers.

StumbleUpon is a lot like flicking through different channels on a TV, except it’s on the internet and people are flicking through different websites.

StumbleUpon will serve up unique pages and websites to people. If they like it, they can “Thumbs Up” the content, if they don’t they can “Thumbs Down” the content. At any time they can click “Stumble” and see a different site.

It’s very easy for someone who’s bored to “Stumble” away from your site. Likewise, if you get a lot of Stumblers to thumbs up your content, you can quickly get a flood of Stumblers coming in.

==> The Most Important Thing for Targeting Stumblers

The most important thing to keep in mind when you’re targeting StumbleUpon users is that they’re in a very “quick entertainment” mindset.

You need to catch their attention, and you need to do it immediately. In other words, the above the fold area of your website needs to have some sort of shocking or captivating headline or graphic.

People should feel immediately drawn in upon seeing your site. Remember, if you don’t catch their attention, they’ll be gone before you can say “Stumble.”

==> Keeping Their Attention

Throughout your page should be very interesting, emotionally engaging pieces of content. It doesn’t matter if it gets them to laugh, to be outraged or to be shocked – it just has to be emotionally engaging.

You’ll also want to tone down the ads on the page which Stumblers land on. Pages with a lot of ads tend to get downvoted, while pages with fewer ads and more engaging content tends to get upvoted.<img src="localseoservices-6.jpg" alt="Local SEO Services" />

==> Getting Your Content on StumbleUpon

So how do you actually get your content on to StumbleUpon?

StumbleUpon frowns on people submitting their own content. You can, but if you do it too often you’ll get your account disabled.

The best way to do it is to first spend a week or so using StumbleUpon yourself. That way you build up some usage history so it doesn’t look like you’re just there to promote; and you also get some experience with the StumbleUpon’s system.

Then, pick one of the best pages on your website and submit it to StumbleUpon. Ideally, you should get enough of a following from StumbleUpon that others will submit your content from then on.

If your content isn’t getting enough uptake, submit another piece of your own content a few weeks later. But make sure you’re also submitting other things and that there’s an interval between your submissions of your own content.

Why Content is King

Why Content is King

Why Content Is Still King

Long before the internet was invented, the defining axiom in print was that “content is king.” Today, where online content dominates print content, many of the world’s top SEO and web marketing experts still say that “content is king.”

Why is this the case? That even after decades, no matter the medium, content is still the crux of good marketing?

==> It’s What Builds Loyalty

Businesses aren’t built on first-time visitors. Companies like the Wall Street Journal don’t make most of their money from people picking up their papers for the first time.<img src="localseoservices3.jpg" alt="Local SEO Services" />

They make money from people who’ve read their content and then decided it was good enough that they either want to purchase again or subscribe to a subscription. If the business had to get a new customer every time in order to get paid, they’d all have gone under by now.

Yet many online publications approach their business that way. Instead of focusing on repeat visitors, they focus on optimizing for search engines so they get more new customers.

At the end of the day, however, the really famous and successful blogs like Huffington Post or TechCrunch ultimately still get most of their traffic from repeat visitors. Yes, search engines love them – but their businesses would be a fraction of what they are today if they didn’t have great content.

==> The Evolution of Search Engines

For many years Google and other search engines have worked towards making their search results pull up better and better results. They want people who search on their engines to find the best content possible in relationship to what they’re looking for.

As search engines get smarter, marketers who focus primarily on marketing tactics rather than actual content will die away. <img src="localseoservices-4.jpg" alt="Local SEO Services" />

Google has proven this repeatedly by continually downgrading the importance of low-quality links and upgrading the importance of usage statistics and other metrics to actually measure the content of a website.

If you build your website around great content while having a decent understanding of basic SEO, your site will flourish. If you put all your attention on SEO and don’t pay much attention to your content, you’ll always be trying to stay one step ahead of the search engines.

==> The Ability to Sell High Ticket Items

A low quality content website might be able to sell $0.20 clicks via AdSense. But a high quality website could sell $5,000 DVD sets by the hundreds.

Having great quality content allows you to build a relationship with your readers. That relationship allows you to sell any number of things to your readers. From high end items to recurring memberships to one on one coaching, it all starts from having high quality content.

In the long run, only content that really helps people is going to succeed. Content that doesn’t do so is likely to get downgraded more and more as time passes.
